MotoGP Aragon 2024 FP1 Results – Marc Marquez Skyrockets and Fast as Francesco Bagnaia Becomes Ducati’s Disgrace in Morning Session

Gresini Racing racer, Marc Marquez, emerged as the fastest in the 2024 Aragon MotoGP free practice 1 (FP1).

Marc Marquez appeared solid despite having difficulties when starting the FP1 session of MotoGP Aragon 2024 today, Friday (30/8/2024).

The rider nicknamed Baby Alien ended the 45-minute session at MotorLand Aragon, Spain in first place.

Marquez took that position after recording his best lap time of 1 minute 48.289 seconds or 0.4 seconds ahead of Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing).

The progress of the 2024 Aragon MotoGP FP1 session

Marc Marquez immediately followed behind Monster Energy Yamaha’s mainstay Fabio Quartararo shortly after the 2024 Aragon MotoGP FP1 session was held.

With a time of 1 minute 53.410 seconds, Johann Zarco from LCR Honda immediately heated up the competition by being in first place.

Five minutes into the race, Aprilia’s mainstay Maverick Vinales managed to take Zarco’s position before being defeated by Jack Miller from Red Bull KTM.

Jackass was in first place with his best lap time of 1 minute 50.256 seconds or 0.8 seconds ahead of teammate Brad Binder.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez , who rides for Gresini Racing, is still stuck in 13th place.

This condition is in stark contrast to his own younger brother and teammate Alex Marquez who displaced Miller.

Alex Marquez’s hotlap produced a pace of 1 minute 49.927 seconds, at the same time Baby Alien began to rocket to fifth place.

Jorge Martin from Pramac Racing attempted to improve his best lap time , but his pace had to go wide off the track.

The 2024 Aragon MotoGP FP1 session has 30 minutes left, Trackhouse Racing rider Miguel Oliveira took first place with 1 minute 49.086 seconds.

Not long after, Marc Marquez , who had been thrown to 13th position, managed to soar with the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 motorbike.

The eight-time world champion finished first, 0.7 seconds ahead of Oliveira.

On the other hand, Ducati’s spearhead Francesco Bagnaia is still struggling to find his best rhythm in this morning’s session.

The MotoGP class champion for the last two years was stuck in 12th position with a best lap time of 1 minute 50.216 seconds.

FP1 MotoGP Aragon 2024 ran for 20 minutes, most of the riders entered the paddock and left Pedro Acosta, Alex Marquez, Jorge Martin , and Luca Marini.

Acosta took advantage of the empty track conditions to improve his time with 1 minute 48.902 seconds and take second place.

The same situation also happened to Martin who rose to third place, 0.6 seconds behind Marquez with a time of 1 minute 48.383 seconds.

In the last 20 minutes, Martin again threatened when his hotlap brought him up to second place, displacing Acosta.

Bagnaia, who was still stuck in 15th place, continued his efforts until the last 15 minutes but failed again.

Entering the final period, Marquez managed to sharpen his best lap time to 1 minute 48.289 seconds to make him firmly in first place.

Bagnaia dropped further down the order and was down to 21st as team-mate Enea Bastianini began to improve his form in ninth.
