Lotlibrary.com – PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia or Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) stated that the construction of the MotoGP museum in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB), has almost been completed and can be used by the general public.
“Now it is almost 97 percent, so it can be seen. All the building frames are also visible,” said ITDC President Director Ari Respati in Tangerang, Wednesday.
He said that the MotoGP museum building built north of the VIP Deluxe grandstand with an area of 400 square meters will later be permanently designated as a world motorcycle racing history building.
“This is not only held for the MotoGP period, but it will be permanent. We will build and in the future Dorna together with Pertamina will also build a building that tells the history of MotoGP,” he said.
In addition to being a MotoGP museum, he said, the building built by Indonesia and Dorna Sports is also a place to tell the history of the Mandalika Circuit building.
“Later, we will also include the history of the circuit, so that it will also be an educational history for the community. And this will later become a tourist destination,” said Ari Respati.
Meanwhile, ITDC Operations Director and Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024 Troy Reza Warokka added that the construction of this museum was the first to be carried out by Indonesia and in the world.
“This only exists in Indonesia and only in Mandalika. Hopefully this will become one of the good legacies for us and the increase in tourists will be better so that the economy will be good,” said Troy.
