The 2024 MotoGP summer break is over. Premier motorcycle racing will resume with the British MotoGP this weekend.
MotoGP 2024 has completed the first nine series, the last of which was held in Germany. In that race, Pramac rider Jorge Martin successfully dominated the sprint race, but was unlucky after falling in the final phase of the main race which was finally won by Francesco Bagnaia.
The victory at Sachsenring also changed the standings . Bagnaia took the top spot with 222 points, displacing Martin by 10 points. Eight-time world champion Marc Marquez is in third place with 166 points.
The 2024 MotoGP competition now continues at the Silverstone Circuit. There have been eight different winners since Jorge Lorenzo won back to back in 2012 and 2013. Among them are Bagnaia, Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins, Maverick Vinales, and Marc Marquez.
In last year’s edition, the British MotoGP was won by Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro after smoking Pecco Bagnaia. While Alex Marquez who rides for Gresini dominated the sprint race.
So will there be another new winner at the 2024 British MotoGP next week? Let’s just wait and see!
