Starting from MotoGP 2025, Ducati will only field a total of six bikes on the premier class grid.
In recent years, there have been eight Ducati bikes with four different teams.
Starting next year, there will be only six bikes left with three different teams.
The Ducati Lenovo team will obviously get the latest spec GP25 bike, plus one racer from the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing team, Fabio Di Giannantonio will get exactly the same bike as Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez starting in 2025.
Ducati and VR46’s new deal follows the departure of the Pramac Racing team to Yamaha, previously the factory bike quota for the satellite team belonged to Pramac, now the package has been transferred to VR46 Racing.
“The two-year period 2025/2026 for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is starting to take shape,” said Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing team director Alessio Salucci in an official MotoGP.com release.
“After last week announcing the partnership with Ducati, today we can confirm that Fabio, thanks to an agreement signed directly with the Borgo Panigale Factory, will wear the team’s neon yellow jersey for the next two seasons
I can’t hide my satisfaction, he arrived here in the last minutes, he worked very hard, he was always there with the strongest guys and he deserved this result.
This is a very important moment for the future of the team, the relationship with Ducati is getting stronger and we can only thank Pertamina Lubricants and all our partners who support us and continue to believe in this ambitious project,” added Ucci.
Meanwhile, Luigi Dall’Igna , who serves as General Manager of Ducati Corse, is happy with the new agreement.
“We are delighted to have Fabio Di Giannantonio among our Ducati riders for the next two years.
Diggia has always shown great confidence in our project, and his dedication and talent have allowed him to continue to grow in MotoGP.
We are convinced that together with the VR46 Racing team and with the factory Desmosedici GP, he will have more opportunities to show his full potential.
Officially welcome to the Ducati family, Fabio!,” Dall’Igna explained .
