The Gresini Ducati racer, Marc Marquez consulted with a doctor ahead of the second half of MotoGP 2024. The six-time MotoGP world champion has not been seen training like other racers.
In the first round of MotoGO this season, the rider nicknamed The Baby Alien was in third place in the standings. He managed to collect 166 points from four podiums.
The 31 year old racer achieved the final podium at the 2024 German MotoGP with great difficulty. He had a fatal accident in the practice session before winning second place in the main race at the Sachsenring Circuit, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany on Sunday (7/7/2024).
As a result of the accident, Marquez suffered a broken finger and serious bruising on his chest. Because of this, The Baby Alien failed to train like other racers did ahead of the second half of MotoGP 2024.
Marquez must control the injury he suffered at the 2024 German MotoGP. According to the Speedweek report, Marquez consulted with his treating doctor, Dr. Ignacio Roger de Ona at Ruber Internacional Hospital.
“This is about evaluating all injuries at the Sachsenring,” said Marquez as quoted by Speedweek, Saturday (13/7/2024).
Based on the results of the examination, Marquez said his injury had gradually recovered. After that, he will take a short break before practicing for the second half of MotoGP 2024.
“Everything is fine with rest. “Now it’s time to rest for a few days and then prepare well for the second half of the season,” he said.
